SecondStage is for people who are worried about their job, so we collect as little as we can. Your employer never sees your results.
Who we are
SecondStage is responsible for the data described here. For anything about your data, email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and how you signed in.
- What you tell us: your answers about your role and your week, and any feedback you send. If you paste a job description, we use it to fit your task list and don’t save it.
- What we work out for you: your results, your paths and your plan.
- Technical data: your country, your time zone, and the basic details any website receives, like your internet address and browser type.
We never ask for your employer’s name.
How we use it
- To run SecondStage for you: the check, your paths, your plan and the Monday email.
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse.
- To fix problems and improve the product.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we never share your results with any employer.
We use service providers to host SecondStage, send email, protect it from attacks, catch errors and run the AI models that draft your task list. They only get what they need for that work and can only use it on our instructions. The AI providers see your role, industry and task list, never your email, and we set them up so they don’t train on it.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of SecondStage, our users or others.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed on secure cloud servers, which may be in a different country from yours.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data, though copies in our backups can take a little longer to clear.
We keep some anonymous numbers for our own stats, like how many people joined each month. They can’t be traced back to you.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Settings. For anything else about your data, email [email protected].
Cookies
We use the cookies the app needs to work, like the one that keeps you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Security
We encrypt traffic to SecondStage and limit who on our team can see your data. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee your data will never be accessed without permission.
Children
SecondStage is for adults. You need to be 18 or older to use it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a big change, we’ll let you know by email or in the app. If you keep using SecondStage after an update, the new version applies.
